Charles holds a Bachelor of Arts in American Studies from the University of Texas and a Masters in Architecture from the University of New Mexico.  He began working at Cherry/See Architects in 1995 while completing his Master’s degree.  His background prior to the study of Architecture includes manufacturing, construction, ocean sailing, and the owner/operator of an epicurean bakery in Austin, Texas. 

From the beginning of his employment at Cherry/See/Reames Architects, Charles has worked almost exclusively on projects for clients in the educational field.  Chief among these is the Albuquerque Public School District.  He has served as the project manager on numerous jobs involving additions and remodeling at elementary schools around the District, beginning with the proposal preparation and carrying on through to the final one-year evaluation of the completed project.  Charles’s strengths are his attention to detail, his knowledge of the construction process, and his ability to work well with construction personnel, engineers, and owner’s representatives.
