The site had been a park that had fallen into disrepair. The play fields, basketball courts, and tot lot were refurbished as a part of this project. The building is sited to allow for a future addition of a gymnasium to the northwest. The senior citizen dining area opens onto a south facing area with benches where seniors can wait for their ride or for the transport van to pick them up.
